
So, does WWE choose to move the belt off Owens? Or is it too risky to put the belt on Goldberg if he's not going to appear at house shows? While the downfall of WWE's live event business can't be attributed to one particular superstar, WWE must crunch the numbers and decide whether Owens, Goldberg or someone else is best served as Raw's top champion and, by default, its headlining attraction. Owens held the Universal title for that entire quarter, and just to put that number into perspective, WWE averaged 7,400 fans per event in the first quarter of 2015.

Goldberg has also been a very good attraction on WWE's YouTube channel. WWE will even release a DVD chronicling Owens' career this summer. Owens' epic attack on Jericho is currently at 3.23 million views, which is more than this past week's episode of Raw got and enough to make it WWE's most viewed YouTube video of the month for February.

Owens' promo the week after he turned on Jericho sits at nearly 900,000 views on YouTube, a very good number for Owens' first solo segment since his split with Jericho and a rare chance for him to be a true heel rather than a comedic one.
